Kathryn is an Australian writer of dark, thrilling and speculative fiction.

Her short stories have been published in anthologies and magazines in Australia and overseas, and her debut novel, The Wildcard, was published in 2021 from IFWG Publishing. It’s a twist-filled story of wannabe con artists and risks gone wrong in an underworld of card players who bet anything they can think of. 

Her upcoming novel, The Stranger, will be released in September 2022 from Allen & Unwin. It’s a feminist western, gritty and uncompromising, starting where they all should: a stranger rides into town. Only this time, it’s a woman. 

When not writing, Kathryn works in libraries, records and archives in the higher education sector. She lives with her partner and two kids among the gumtrees on the outskirts of Melbourne
